This is shooting toward the southeast. This is the hidden Los Angeles Police
training facility. I must have driven past this location a dozen times before
I saw it (before I knew it was here). It is not open to the public and is not
designed for competition. At least they can be certain each recruit can run
a mile. Each straightaway (visible below--those are not optical illusions or
photographic distortion) has an up and down slope with a notable peak in the
middle. There are only three lines on the track, none I can make sense of. There
are lots of other lanes and areas of AW surface.
The north and west straightaways.
The south and east straightaways.
The chute end of the north straightaway. The full body dummy stand is
also something you won't find on your average track.
