Bellarmine High School, San Jose

This is looking toward the north and east. You can see they took all the room available, building this under the Heading Street bridge (which takes the street over the railroad tracks next to the track. The chute goes all the way up to the baseball field by the throwing cage--but there aren't any marks to use it on that side of the track

O.K., I'm pickey. Of this entire nice facility with a proper curb I will add, this is the the lone piece of stupidity, but it catches my eye. Why wouldn't they add the extra couple of feet to give this lane a full place to start his race?

You can see there is space to build a mini-chute. They have their football/soccer carpet to cross the track out. With all the tires around, you have to assume them to be football training devices.
