Chadwick School

There is not much more land available here, there is a steep dropoff to Crenshaw Blvd. below the fence at the far end of the track.

Rather than cluttering the track with lots of calibrated lines, there are just epoxied plates marking the various start lines and passing zones for races that go beyond one lap (though some are missing). The exception is this passing zone in the middle of the home straight. It looks like a common 3 turn stagger passing zone, but this track is not the right distance for a common multi-lap passing zone for standard distance races. In the center of this passing zone is a finish line, accentuated by tape. The 400, 4x100 and shorter races are all calibrated to finish at the common finish line at the end of the home straight.

The 300 hurdles start on the first straightaway. In the background is the shot put area with a concrete ring and the wooden, fold out, indoor style discus ring. No sign of a cage. Along the fence of the backstretch is the Horizontal Jump pit, obviously a multi-purpose facility.
