This stadium was the home to the 1932 and 1984 Olympics, along with numerous
other historical track events. In the late 1980's, following the Olympics,
the Coliseum Board allowed the Raiders (specifically at the request of the
owner Al Davis) professional football team to remove the historic track and
modify the stadium for better viewing of the football surface. A few years
later, the Raiders moved back to Oakland. These are some pictures I was able
to find of the 1984 Olympics.
